Football tournaments in Spain

Spanish clubs organise tournaments for every age, from fútbol 5 and fútbol 7 for young players to 11-a-side for adults, and many welcome teams from abroad. DorsalCUP helps you run one in Spain, for free and in six languages.

Spanish age groups

Tournaments created in Spain start from the usual grassroots categories. Exact ages and formats can vary between the regional federations of the RFEF, so treat them as a reference.

Every category is editable, and you can create your own by year of birth.

  • Querubín: fútbol 5
  • Prebenjamín, Benjamín and Alevín: fútbol 7
  • Infantil, Cadete and Juvenil: 11-a-side
  • Sénior: 11-a-side

When tournaments take place

Club tournaments in Spain cluster around the summer and the end of the season, as well as Easter, Christmas and club anniversaries. International youth tournaments bring teams from many countries.

When teams travel from abroad, everyone needs the same information at the same time. DorsalCUP publishes the draw, fixtures and live results on one public page, which each visiting club can read in its own language and share with families back home.

How DorsalCUP helps

A three-step wizard suggests the right format (groups, league, knockout, Gold and Silver Cups, placement matches), with the number of matches and the total duration. Fixtures are spread across the pitches with breaks and rest between matches, and the draw is verifiable.

Invitations go out by email in each club's own language, and a public registration link can be shared on Facebook or WhatsApp: clubs request a place, you accept, and the details follow later. In the team area each club adds its crest, colours, number of players and staff, and meals, with no personal data about players.

On the day, delegates sign in to the web app on their phones with a PIN or QR code, record goals against a live clock and keep working offline. The public page, with a QR code and A4 poster, shows live results, standings and the bracket, and TV screens follow the tournament right through to the podium.

Local settings

Tournaments in Spain use the euro and Spanish time, and final standings are calculated automatically with Excel export. Invitations reach each club in its own language.

Public tournaments appear in the directory of tournaments in Spain, and a live demo is available at dorsalcup.com/demo.

Yes. Each age group has its own format and match length, and the schedule fits all matches onto the available pitches.

Do the categories match my regional federation?

They are a common reference. As ages and formats vary by region, you can edit them or create your own by year of birth.

Is it free?

Yes. DorsalCUP is free for clubs and associations organising football tournaments.
