Football tournaments in Germany
German clubs host tournaments from the G-Jugend to the Alte Herren, indoors and outdoors, often with guests from abroad. DorsalCUP helps you organise one in Germany, for free and in six languages.
German age groups (DFB)
Tournaments created in Germany start from the usual DFB age groups and their reference formats. Children's formats can differ between regional associations, and there are no league tables for the youngest players, so DorsalCUP's non-competitive mode can hide scores.
Every age group is editable, and you can create your own by year of birth.
- G-Jugend: Funino 3v3
- F-Jugend: 5v5
- E-Jugend: 7v7
- D-Jugend: 9v9
- C-, B- and A-Jugend: 11v11
- Herren and Alte Herren
When tournaments take place
Club tournaments in Germany are most common in summer and at the end of the season, as well as around Easter, Christmas and club anniversaries. International youth tournaments bring teams from neighbouring countries and further afield.
Whether the tournament is a single afternoon or a whole weekend, visiting clubs need a clear programme in advance. DorsalCUP publishes the draw, fixtures and live results on one public page that every club can read in its own language and share with families.
How DorsalCUP helps
A three-step wizard suggests the right format (groups, league, knockout, Gold and Silver Cups, placement matches), with the number of matches and the total duration. Fixtures are spread across the pitches with breaks and rest between matches, and the draw is verifiable.
Invitations go out by email in each club's own language, and a public registration link can be shared on Facebook or WhatsApp: clubs request a place, you accept, and the details follow later. In the team area each club adds its crest, colours, number of players and staff, and meals, with no personal data about players.
On the day, delegates sign in to the web app on their phones with a PIN or QR code, record goals against a live clock and keep working offline. The public page, with a QR code and A4 poster, shows live results, standings and the bracket, and TV screens follow the tournament right through to the podium.
Local settings
Tournaments in Germany use the euro and German time, and final standings are calculated automatically with Excel export. Invitations reach each club in its own language.
Public tournaments appear in the directory of tournaments in Germany, and a live demo is available at dorsalcup.com/demo.
