Football tournaments in France
French clubs host tournaments and festivals from U7 to veterans, often with visiting teams from abroad. DorsalCUP helps you organise one in France, for free and in six languages.
French age groups (FFF)
Tournaments created in France start from the reference categories of the French Football Federation. The youngest players take part in festivals (plateaux) without rankings, and DorsalCUP's non-competitive mode hides scores for them.
Every category is editable, and you can create your own by year of birth.
- U7: 4v4
- U9: 5v5
- U11 and U13: 8v8
- U15, U17 and U19: 11v11
- Seniors and Vétérans
When tournaments take place
Club tournaments in France are most common at the end of the season and in summer, as well as at Easter, Christmas and club anniversaries. International youth tournaments are a popular way to meet clubs from other countries.
For visiting teams, a clear programme published in advance makes planning the trip much easier. With DorsalCUP, every club follows the draw, fixtures, results and standings on its phone, in its own language, from before the first kick-off to the podium.
How DorsalCUP helps
A three-step wizard suggests the right format (groups, league, knockout, Gold and Silver Cups, placement matches), with the number of matches and the total duration. Fixtures are spread across the pitches with breaks and rest between matches, and the draw is verifiable.
Invitations go out by email in each club's own language, and a public registration link can be shared on Facebook or WhatsApp: clubs request a place, you accept, and the details follow later. In the team area each club adds its crest, colours, number of players and staff, and meals, with no personal data about players.
On the day, delegates sign in to the web app on their phones with a PIN or QR code, record goals against a live clock and keep working offline. The public page, with a QR code and A4 poster, shows live results, standings and the bracket, and TV screens follow the tournament right through to the podium.
Local settings
Tournaments in France use the euro and French time, and final standings are calculated automatically with Excel export. Invitations reach each club in its own language.
Public tournaments appear in the directory of tournaments in France, and a live demo is available at dorsalcup.com/demo.
